Colorless and transparent liquid with stimulating smell, its vapor is the tear gas; vapor pressure: 1.33kPa/ 36 ℃, flash point: 49 ℃, melting point: -73.1 ℃, boiling point: 138.6 ℃. Soluble in benzene, ethanol, ethyl ether. Relative density (water = 1) : 1.08 g/ ml, relative density (Air = 1) : 3.52 g/ ml. Stability.

Uses:

Used as acetylation reagents, as well as for medicines, dyes, cellulose acetate manufacturing,production triggered agent, bleaching agent.
